The Freeze or Fry LC Swim Meet is a 2-day Timed Final event hosted by the Red Deer Catalina Swim Club in Red Deer, Alberta, on June 19th - 21st, 2026. This is a unique opportunity for swimmers to race in a long-course pool at one of Alberta’s few outdoor 50m facilities.
As the name suggests, the meet will proceed regardless of weather conditions (safety protocols will be followed), so please plan accordingly. The meet is held at an outdoor pool, swimmers who have attended this meet will tell you this unforgettable experience whether they swam in the cold or the scorching heat. This is not a team travel meet, so families will be responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
