On Monday Dec 15th we will be hosting a Gold Distance Challenge at Kinsmen.
We are hoping that all Gold swimmers can attend.
At many development meets distance events are not offered and then at other meets you have to have a time standard to enter or they only allow X number of swimmers to participate. As such we have organized this event in a low stress environment to promote distance swimming to the next wave of Keyano swimmers.
Swimmers can plan to arrive at 3:45 but we know that is difficult with school so just get there when you can and write in the notes if it will be after 4:15 so that we can plan accordingly.
This years event will be swum long course from 4:00-6:45 and then we will head to the Kinette room for some food and drink. Swimmers will be done at 7:30.
We will run a short warm up and get the kids through hopefully 2 distance races each and a relay if time allows.
Events offered will include: 800 free, 400 free, 400 IM, 200 breast and 200 fly. Times will not be official but coaches will know who is ready to do these races at other meets and what time to estimate.
